Thank you!!

So my friend Cameron from A2 got me a beautiful gift. It's a vase from the art fair. I cried when I got it in the mail. Mostly I cried because it was from Cameron. I am so glad that Cameron is such a great kid! I'm thankful that he is kind and thinks of others, even when they are not there.
Thank you and I love it! I miss my primary class. My calling here in Iowa City is the Primary Secretary. Looks like I'm a lifer in Primary!:-) I'm glad.

P.S. Can someone who lives in A2 please make sure this gets to Cam somehow? I no longer have access to the email addresses and things. I'd really appreciate it!

So....PICTURES from Nauvoo finally!

Lost and Found Blessings

So Friday, Craig and Isaac both had dr. appts. Craig had a required test he had to do for dental school and just mentioned that his knee was hurting a little. The Dr. looked it over and said he needed to get a MRI on it and that it was possible that he might need a scope surgery. At Isaac's check-up appt, we found out the he needed surgery, a different one than previously thought. We were told a few months back that he didn't look like he would need surgery. And lastly, a scholarship we received for Abram's preschool was taken away suddenly on Friday, when we were suppose to start preschool this week! Needless to say, it was a bad day.

However, on Monday things changed.
We went in at 6:45 am for Isaac's surgery. It went very well. Our worries about the wrong procedure were put to rest when they found exactly what they thought was there with this diagnosis. He did great with the anesthesia, which we were also worried about thanks to my mom.

Monday Afternoon Tiffany called, or I called? it doesn't matter who called! During her call, I received a phone call that Craig's MRI was clear. I got a second calling waiting beep to tell me that we actually did get Abram's scholarship after all! (ME..."Are ya sure!?!?!?!?)
I was glad Tiffany was there to talk to me about how funny lost and found blessings can be. Sometimes you don't realize how great you have it until it taken away. I was always thankful, but now, I'm even more thankful. Without a hard Friday and a great friend I'm not sure I would have realized 1) how much of a blessing Abram's scholarship really was, 2) how thankful I am that Craig is healthy and without crutches, especially during the school year, and 3) how grateful I am that Isaac's procedures were done now and taken care before any real problems came from it.

So, here's the update on what's happened since...yesterday. (It's been a long week)
Isaac is doing well, but could use extra prayers, because he's in a lot of pain. (We're also thankful for Codine!!!)
Abram started school today. All the kids in this teacher's preschool class can read and write before they start kindergarten. Abram started writing on the first day!
Craig's running and feeling great. He had his first of day of dental school stuff today. He looked HOT when he left the house this morning;-)
ME, well, I forgot my visiting teaching appointment this morning, but thankfully again, I visit awesome ladies who forgave before I even called!

The Hubers are thankful this night!

Things I heard today...

Sometime I get a kick out of hearing parts of conversations. I gave drinks out at an elementary school social tonight. Here's some parts of conversations I heard:
  • "Summer...summer...summer..." I kept feeling like people were talking to or about me.
  • "Did anyone cry to be in your class?"
  • "Do you like me or your mom better?"-a Dad
  • "Come on, let's go see if the 'A' word is in our class."('A-word' is Adam. Come on people, this is elementary school!)
  • "Because I'm this big and you're that big."
Other people are funny!
